GreeneMath.com - Inequalities & the Number Line Lesson

# In this Section:

In this section, we will continue to learn about our number system. We learn how to set up a number line for the whole numbers. The number line gives us a visual representation of the whole numbers. We use this number line to compare the size of two or more whole numbers. We will find that as we move right on the number line, our numbers are increasing in value. As we move left on the number line, our numbers are decreasing in value. We will learn how to show the relationship between two whole numbers using the inequality symbols (less than <) and (greater than >).
