 GreeneMath.com - Properties of Addition Test #1

# In this Section:

In this section, we learn the basic properties of an addition problem. First we learn the basic vocabulary (addend, sum) that goes with addition. We then learn how to label the parts of an addition problem as: addend or sum. We will also learn about the commutative property of addition (we can change the order of the addends and get the same result), the associative property of addition (we can change the grouping of the addends and get the same result), and the identity property of zero (adding zero leaves the number unchanged).
