Fractional Exponents

In this section, we learn how to simplify expressions with fractional exponents. Fractional Exponents are also referred to as rational numbers as exponents or simply rational exponents. Specifically, we will learn how to take a radical and write the same value using exponents. We will also learn how to manipulate radicals into simpler forms using exponents. The main takeaway from this section is how to go back and forth from radical form to exponent form. We will start with easy examples using numbers, and then progress into more complex and tedious examples using variables. Lastly, we will also run into the scenario of having negative fractional exponents. In this case, we take the reciprocal of the base and make the exponent positive.
