Age Word Problems

In this lesson, we continue to look at word problems that involve setting up and solving a linear equation in one variable. Here, we will review how to solve age word problems. We can solve this type of problem using the six-step method that we learned earlier. An age word problem is one in which we usually need to find the individual age of certain people given the sum of their ages or some other piece of information that relates their ages together.
