In this lesson, we will learn about linear speed and angular speed. Linear speed is the measure of how fast an object is moving around a circle. Angular speed is the measure of how fast the central angle is changing. To solve these problems, we use the following formulas: Angular Speed »ω = θ/t, where θ is given in radians. Linear Speed » v = s/t, where s is the length of the arc traced at time t. Once we have our angular speed, we can find the linear speed as: v = rω
