Solving Trigonometric Equations Using Factoring

About:
Additional Resources:

In this lesson, we will continue to learn how to solve basic trigonometric equations. Here, we will focus on solving trigonometric equations that can be factored. Once we have factored our equations, we can then use the zero-product (zero-factor) property. This means we will set each factor with a variable equal to zero and obtain a solution. We will then look at our unit circle in order to find values for θ that make the equation true in our given interval.
